The rice shortage in the Philippines is alarming, frustrating, perplexing and worrying. I've just chatted with Mama and she informed me that people in Calinan (my hometown) line up as early as 4:00 am just to buy NFA rice. For an agricultural country like the Philippines, that is so TERRIBLE!
